Usually there is a 5 try lockout so repower the camera when you get to 5 refused attempts. Hikvision can reset it if you use their newer SADP tool, generate a reset password export.xml and send it to them. But you can't repower your camera until you get their corresponding import.xml if you can actually get them to send it We can only reset passwords for Hikvision devices purchased through us. If you purchased your equipment through another re-seller we suggest you contact them for your password reset. Send the serial number/xml file to us at support@diysecuritycameras.com.au. I've got a Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2/8P NVR, and I had it set to a static IP, well I went in and checked DHCP so on reboot it would get IP from router (where I would assign IP), but now I can't find it anywhere. Hi all, stumbled across this forum while trying to reset password on Hikvision camera which currently has IP address 192.168.31.108. Plugged the camera to separate POE to be able to see it on SADP. Already submitted file (generated last night) to Hik support and received xml file back today. Support noted that the file is valid for 24h. Replace ip_address with the IP address that the IP camera obtained through DHCP or, if the camera was unable to obtain this IP address, enter 192.168.0.100. The Login window appears. Step 2. Enter the default login credentials: Username: admin. Password: admin. The Initialization window appears. Step 3.
